Is “You Be Blessed!” the fake high road to saying “Kiss my ass!”

Let’s talk tea about “You be Blessed.” Okay so how many times have you been in a debate with some one and had them end it by saying, “You Be Blessed!”? I’ve found that this is typically a popular way for the LOSING, less informed or  frustrated debater to end the argument. In fact, on social media, it’s often preceded by dismissive or nasty commentary from the person who says it. Which begs the question:

Is “You Be Blessed!” the fake high road to saying “Kiss my ass!” in a debate?

So I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty opinionated and that can get you into some pretty thick debates from time to time…especially on social media.

What is amusing to me is that you can often clearly tell how upset, angry or frustrated a person is by the way the debate whatever the topic is. Personally, I’m a fan of facts, logic, sarcasm and humor. Sometimes using all of those in a discussion with a person who is already defensive only makes them more hostile.

So what do they do when they want to end the argument taking the fake high road?

They write,“Well, you be blessed!” or “You have a blessed day!” knowing DAMN GOOD AND WELL they are not wishing any of that positivity your way in that moment. Yeah, yeah, I know that’s the good Christian way to end a debate, but does it count if it’s phony as a $3 bill?

I don’t think so. I think those phrases have been overused on social media in an attempt to APPEAR as though they are being the bigger person, while in fact they are being a phony person…and are probably the loser too! I kid with that last part (sort of) but my point remains the same.

What say you?
