Should you ever offer your books for free?

Updated: Mar 3, 2020

Sometimes, the best promotional tactics require a sacrifice. Of course I’d like to become a best selling and RICH author, but that doesn’t happen for the majority of us talented writers until/unless your book is turned into a television or theatrical movie.

Although BEHIND CLOSED DOORS by K.F. Johnson has been doing very well on amazon.com since it’s release on 7/25/2012, promotions are always required to keep up the momentum. So…I’ve listed it for FREE on today only! http://www.amazon.com/Behind-Closed-Doors-ebook/dp/B008PDV4HM/ref=sr_1_2?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1350748634&sr=1-2&keywords=behind+closed+doors

Clearly I won’t get rich TODAY during the free e-book sale on amazon.com, but what I WILL get are huge #’s of readers who will now be introduced to my book and potentially grab new fans of the series and my writing. This will drive new readers to my book even after the free promotion is over, raise the # my book is listed at on Amazon’s top 100 list, and eventually, up my revenue and reviews for the book.

That…is priceless!

If you are an e-book author with books for sale on amazon.com, you might want to try this same technique. It has proven extremely fruitful for me in the past.

Good luck!
